XXIV Annual Congress of the
Instituto Nacional de Cancerología (INCAN), is an annual
international educational, scientific and social meeting.
Its aim is to provide comprehensive updates and state of the
art in the management of cancer. Leading scientists, most
of them former residents of INCAN, from Mexico and invited
professors from around the world participate at this objective
giving Educational Lectures, Satellite Courses and Debate
Sessions, all in the context of fraternity and social interaction.
Oral and Poster Sessions provide participants the opportunity
to present their research. Pharmaceutical Industry and other
companies support the congress and present their products
and research in the exhibition area as well as in Special
Satellite Symposia.
Educational Lectures offer multidisciplinary approaches of
focused areas of oncology. They are designed for an audience
of about 300 to 500 attendees. They allow the participants
to interact with the leading oncology expert giving this lecture.
Satellite Courses offer special analysis and teaching of specific
themes of oncology and support disciplines. They are designed
for an audience of about 30 to 50 attendees. Many are designed
to hands-on approach with simulators.
Debate Sessions are designed to confront two or three different
points of view about the same problem, with a moderator with
sufficient background to take the marrow of the theme. They
are designed for an audience of about 50 to 100 attendees.
They allow the participants to interact with the experts.
Meet the Professor sessions are designed to enhance attendees'
learning experiences: one recognized expert interprets, reviews
and expands on one selected topic. They are designed for a
small audience, not more than 20 persons. They are formatted
to allow ample interaction between the speaker and attendees.
